DELIGHT, Ark. — While winter in Utah so far has almost felt more like spring, that hasn't been the case in other parts of the country — including the South.

An Arkansas man recently escaped what could have resulted in some serious injuries right before the snow-covered roof over a porch he was standing on collapsed into pieces.

The video on ViralHog's YouTube page shows the Jan. 26 incident as a man named Rustyn arrives to a home in the city of Delight, where snow has blanketed the yard. The video shows Rustyn getting out of a truck, then whistling for a dog to follow him inside the home.

The 40-second video cuts to show Rustyn entering the home, then coming back out — when he starts to notice the wood above the door starting to crack.

He suddenly darts off of the porch, right as the roof begins to cave.

The wooden roof collapses all over the deck of the porch, toppled with what appeared to be heavily weighted snow that had been sitting there.

"He looked up and noticed the beams were not attached and decided to make a run for it. Luckily, he did just in time," a description of the video reads.

A winter storm recently dumped snow, ice and sleet across Arkansas, which caused significant damage in areas throughout the state.
