SALT LAKE CITY — Two mechanics in Michigan faced a tricky problem from a client: fit two school buses into one parking space.
"Sure, we can build that," they said.
There are probably practical ways to solve the challenge, but that's not what these two had in mind.
Inspired by another unconventional mechanic who stacked two school buses on top of each other, Steve Braithwaite and his business partner Tom Brown went to work, as seen in this video.
One of the big challenges they faced was how to turn a bus upside down to stack onto the other.
They suppose that people who see this unusual school bus will have their own challenge: how to describe what they saw.
The two say the bus is 24 feet long, about 13 feet high and it weighs 14,700 lbs.
They also say that they love getting ideas from other people on what to make next, such as a watermelon car.
