ST. GEORGE — Celebrating one year at its new location, the St. George Downtown Farmers Market is throwing an epic celebration this weekend.

"We would love to have people come out for this anniversary to see how much we've grown over the year," St. George Downtown Farmers Market co-owner Kat Puzey said. "It's just a really beautiful representation of what's happening here in southern Utah. And it's going to be a great day to be a part of St. George."

The anniversary celebration will take place Saturday, Aug. 5, which will coincide with the kickoff of National Farmers Market Week.

The event will include free face painting by Cactus Flower Face Painting, cooking and cloth dying demonstrations, free yoga, kid's programs, live music, a prize wheel and more. Prizes will include gifts from market vendors and local businesses. Local vendors will be selling homemade and homegrown items.

Lemon Lab owner Megan Roady said she loves the new Vernon Worthen Park location. The grass allows for a fun, family-friendly environment where people can have picnics, children can play and more.

"We just love our regulars and meeting new people," Roady said. "It's been a great experience out here."
