SALT LAKE CITY — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car on Salt Lake City's west side on Monday.

About 10:20 p.m., a car made a U-turn on 5600 West near 200 South, right in front of the path of an oncoming motorcycle, according to Salt Lake City police. Theodor Butcher, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 27-year-old man driving the car is cooperating with investigators. As of Tuesday, no arrests had been made or citations issued.
