SEATTLE — Real Salt Lake lost its second match of the season on Saturday. Granted, the Seattle Sounders and star winger Jordan Morris already appear to be in outstanding form this early season. But RSL didn't do itself any favors by having several stretches where it struggled to hold possession and had several soft turnovers.
But Justen Glad, last year's team MVP, continues to do everything he can to keep the matches close.
Glad's goal-line save in the ninth minute should be on everyone's highlight reel. Remember, unlike football where all a player has to do is break the end zone plane to score, in soccer the entire ball must cross the goal line.
Even though Glad went fully into the goal with his desperation slide, the ball did not.

RSL will look to get its offense in gear during their home opener on Saturday against Austin, the team that knocked the short-handed Real team out of the playoffs last year in a dramatic match decided by penalty kicks.
