WHEN PIGS SURRENDER — The Liberty Bowl on Wednesday had just about everything.

There was a huge comeback by Kansas, a recovered onside kick, three overtime periods, pivotal fourth-down conversions, a giant hog blocking one of those conversions.

Wait … what was that?

During overtime, Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels escaped the pocket and fired to the end zone to … well, it was hard to see exactly who — or what happened at all.

In what will probably be my favorite moment in the entire bowl season, the ESPN camera was blocked by none other than a fan who appeared to be wearing a full blown hog costume. Never change, college football. Never change.

It didn't take long to know the result of the play, though. In what could be the world's best surrender cobra ever, the very committed fan clasped his hands to his pig-wearing head and shrunk down to reveal a touchdown by Kansas.

The whole thing showcased the beauty and silliness of bowl season. Yes, these are glorified exhibitions in mostly fun locations, but when you've got a fan in a pig costume, how meaningless can they really be?
