DA-DA-DA, DA-DA-DA — Most of the insanity of Triple A baseball comes from unique ballpark foods, themed nights that occasionally go wrong, and uniform combination that make even the most high-minded in the fashion world blush (looking at you Las Vegas Aviators and your nine different jerseys run out this season).

It's so much that when something incredible happens on the field of play, it's often not immediately recognized as greatness.

The Salt Lake Bees' 4-6-3 defensive play Saturday night wasn't one of those.

Bees second baseman Jake Palomaki earned legend status — or at least a spot atop ESPN's nightly list of biggest plays — with an incredible acrobatic feat against the Tacoma Rainers.

Nursing a 5-0 lead with no outs and runners on first and second in the top of the fifth inning, Tacoma's Trey Amburgey smacked a ground ball just left of the second-base bag, where Palomaki was waiting — well, sort of. The 18th-round draft pick in 2018 out of Boston College dived to his right, snagged the ball with his glove, then spun a backhanded toss to shortstop David Fletcher.

The seventh-year pro out of Loyola Marymount then spun in midair, grabbed the toss with his bare hand and in one motion fired a bomb to first that caught Amburgey with the first out of the inning.

The Bees were quick to ask ESPN, "is this Top 10 worthy? 😏" ... and SportsCenter was happy to oblige, resharing the feat on its social channels to the tune of over 4 million views on Twitter by the end of Pioneer Day weekend.

Salt Lake went on to take the win 5-3 to bounce back from a 6-0 loss to Tacoma the previous night to open the three-game series at home.

But it wasn't just Top 10-worthy; the 4-6-3 play is being touted as the defensive play of the year by some in Minor League Baseball, and quickly rose up to No. 1 on Saturday night's SportsCenter Top 10.

But you know what's even better about that grab? It didn't end there for the Bees.

With the series tied heading into Sunday's finale, Kean Wong smacked a two-run double with one out in the bottom of the 12th inning to help Salt Lake walk off with a 5-4 victory that set off the annual Pioneer Day fireworks show at Smith's Ballpark.

The win lifted the Bees to 44-49 on the year as they hit the road to face the Reno Aces in a six-game series beginning Tuesday at 7:35 p.m. MDT at Greater Nevada Field.
