SALT LAKE CITY — It's now been over 100 days since Gov. Spencer Cox took office. And since Jan. 4, he and his administration have seemingly had no time to slow down.

With handling the state's COVID-19 vaccination distribution, working on getting the state economy back on track, as well as working with the Utah Legislature on several bills, it's safe to say Gov. Cox has had arguably one of, if not, the most challenging first 100 days any Utah governor has had to endure.

But as busy as Cox is, he was able to take time recently to talk to

In this episode of The Know Podcast, host Xoel Cardenas is joined by political writer Katie Workman to interview the governor. We talk about several issues, including:

  • The state's COVID-19 response
  • What comes to mind when he thinks of the events of Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol
  • Affordable housing in Utah
  • The future of the Republican Party
  • His message to minority communities in Utah during these seemingly tense times

In the following clip, Cox talks about his thoughts on the future of the Republican Party.

In this clip, Cox talks about the Utah Jazz and if they win the NBA title this summer, Utahns can expect the biggest parade in state history.
