1. US Senate acquits Trump of inciting deadly Capitol riot, McConnell rebukes ex-president

The U.S. Senate acquitted Donald Trump on Saturday of inciting the mob that stormed the Capitol last month, sparing him from conviction in his second impeachment trial in a year despite broad condemnation of his role in sparking the deadly siege.

2. Storms expected to help Utah snowpack, but we still need a lot more snow

After an extremely dry winter, officials with the National Weather Service say the past few days have made a bit of a dent in Utah's bad snowpack picture.

3. 'We're out here because of trauma': Being homeless in Utah in winter during COVID-19

"And it's like OK, what's worse, possibly getting COVID or getting exposed to COVID, or being on the street and the trauma that happens to folks on the street?" said Sue Ativalu, Volunteer for America's vice president of program operations.

1. The Jazz don't live by the 3 and they sure didn't die by it in blowout win against Miami

There were two plays from Utah's 112-94 win over Miami that made the rounds on social media during the game.

The more popular one was a clip of a seven-pass possession where the ball jumped from Donovan Mitchell to Royce O'Neale to Bojan Bogdanovic to Joe Ingles.

2. Utes start hot but fizzle out in 73-66 loss to Stanford

Stanford reeled off a 23-4 run behind a dominant performance in the paint — Stanford outshot Utah 20-8 under the basket — and flipped the script on a Utah team that was looking for its fourth straight win and first back-to-back road wins in conference play this season.

3. Split Hammer: Why Utah Valley, Dixie State rekindled a 49-year-old rivalry series

The Old Hammer isn't a rivalry about the past except in its desire to celebrate it.

For two schools with fairly nascent Division I histories — just 17 years for Utah Valley, which is 16 more than Dixie State — the rivalry will trend toward the future in what the U.S. Census Bureau projects as the fourth fastest-growing state in the union.

4. Salt Lake Bees, Los Angeles Angels to remain partners through 2030 in new 'Triple-A West'

The Salt Lake Bees will remain with the Los Angeles Angels for another decade as a part of the finalized overhaul of baseball's minor league structure.

5. Bingham, Farmington, Dixie, South Sevier, Enterprise kick off winter championship season with state drill titles

Bingham clinched its second-straight 6A title and ninth overall since the UHSAA began coordinating drill competition in 1983.
