THE EMOTIONAL PIANO — With the Have You Seen This? articles, we get all kinds of great videos. We share funny videos, scary videos, amazing videos and sometimes we show you videos like this one: beautiful videos that spotlight humanity and will get the most hard-hearted of us to choke back tears.

Joao Carlos Martins is a Brazilian pianist and conductor, but due to multiple injuries, the man has not been able to play the piano for more than 20 years. Just imagine the one thing you love, the thing that you have all the natural ability in the world to do and which brings you joy taken from you.

It's heartbreaking to think about and that's what happened to Martins.

In this video, technology gave Martins back what nature once took from him.

Thanks to a pair of bionic gloves, Martins is tickling the ivories once again. The video shows the moment he placed his assisted fingers back on the keys and it's clear his heart is connected to his hands.

As muscle memory and hours of practice come rushing back to him, Martins effortlessly plays the piano as tears run down his face. I don't know how the person filming this moment kept the camera still because I would have been a mess, with my body shaking from my weeping.

This is a beautiful video that teaches us so many things. Never forget your passion and don't give up on your dreams. Technology and those working to create it helps us believe in miracles and the world — with all of its crazy and broken people — is still a wonderful and resplendent place.
