(KSL News) A young boy who died after firing a real gun for a sound effect in a school play was laid to rest today.
Tucker Thayer, 15, was a certified range instructor for the Boy Scouts. He was person who, according to his family, knew a lot about guns.
But on Nov. 15, Thayer was found dead at school after police say he fired a real gun loaded with a blank at his head.
That gun was supposed to be used for a sound effect in the play "Oklahoma."
