THE CLASSROOM — Teachers and students across the nation have been thrown into a new environment during the COVID-19 outbreak — virtual classrooms.
Many of these teachers were given two days notice to adjust their syllabi and other classroom plans to fit their new reality. It’s a challenge that teachers took on (at least all the teachers I know), and rose to the challenge with blood, sweat, and tears for sure, but also with grace and determination.
But no matter how the extraordinary teachers are, one fact remains — students will be students. It’s just how growing up works. There will always be kids who push boundaries, who pop off during class, and who "forget" the rules.
Those kids (I was the pop-off in my time), are one of the reasons classrooms have rules, many of which require asking permission before doing just about anything that requires you to get out of your seat.
And that’s what brings us to the featured video, and the fact you can’t stop the class clown from being the class clown.
WIthout spoiling what goes down in the clip, I will say the interaction is worth a sensible chuckle if not an outright guffaw and eye roll that follows every dad joke ever told.
I, for one, am glad to see at least one student taking the COVID-19 pandemic in stride.
