THE WILD — Watching an animal in its natural habitat, uninhibited, is really stunning and beautiful. Migration patterns, for example, can be mesmerizing as you watch birds, fish or lions doing what comes natural and what has for millions of years.
One migration pattern I had no idea was so enthralling was that of the mattress. Thankfully someone caught this rarely seen event on camera, and we now know what the great mattress migration looks like.
YouTuber Robb Manes was hanging out at the pool when a mattress made its way over the fence and toward the water.
"When a second and third one came in, we stood up, I grabbed my camera, and this is what we saw," Manes wrote on YouTube. "Apparently there was a 'Movie Night Under The Stars' and in Denver, Colorado fashion, a storm blew in, and this is the result."
I'm thankful no one was hurt because air mattresses are known to cause stiff necks and sore backs, but it seems people managed to avoid any inconvenient soreness in this natural phenomenon.
While watching a mattress migration is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, please don't interfere. Just watch and appreciate the beauty and avoid unnecessary trips to the chiropractor all because you wanted to be a part of the action and get a great pic for your Instagram. Let's be smart, people. Let the mattresses be.
