LAYTON — Police have identified the woman who died in a Saturday night car crash as 32-year-old Ashley Walker, Layton Police Lt. Travis Lyman confirmed.

Officers received reports about 9 p.m. of Walker driving south at high speeds on 1300 North and Main Street when she collided with the back end of a Chevrolet truck, Layton City Police Sgt. Brent Ericksen told KSL Saturday.

The collision caused Walker's vehicle to roll into the northbound lanes, where another vehicle hit her and she died on scene, police said.

The two occupants of the northbound car were injured and taken to the hospital; officials did not release the extent of their injuries. The individuals in the truck were not harmed, Ericksen said.

Police said they do not believe alcohol or other intoxicants played a role in the incident.
