THE PITCH — Soccer is all about working as a team, being in sync, trusting your teammates and having fun all at the same time.

Oh, yeah. And soccer is about golazos!

Who doesn’t love a great golazo to make the crowd go wild? What makes a golazo even better is if it comes off a volley or half volley.

For one kid, he got the volley-golazo combo he was probably dreaming of since he could remember.

In this video, we see James (aka Jamesy) waiting for the ball to get to his feet. A defender approaches, but Jamesy flicks the ball over the defender to get rid of the threat.

Jamesy is all alone and sees the goal. He knows this is a chance to get a shot at goal. Jamesy has to make a decision quickly. He goes for it! Jamesy strikes the ball off the half volley and just like that, the ball flies toward the far post and in.

“Golazo!” a man can be heard saying in the video.

As a former soccer writer, I can tell you that was an incredible goal. The quick decision-making and quality of strike by the kid is very impressive. It was very reminiscent of an Argentina goal against Mexico back in 2006.

Here’s to you, Jamsey, for scoring one of the best goals of 2019. Lionel Messi would be proud of you and your strike.
