A Lehi man got to spend some time with some real police officers after they say he pretended to be a police officer to get into a home.

Pleasant Grove police says a teenager owed Todd Busenbark $20, so the man got a group together, went to the teenager's home and knocked on the door, saying he was a police officer. Busenbark then pushed his way inside and told the teen he might arrest him. He punched the teen in the face before leaving.

Lt. Clark Nielsen says Busenbark had a fake alibi when the real officers contacted him. "He indicated that he had been with one of our officers up the canyon," Nielsen said.

Nielsen says while Busenbark was filling out a report at the police station, the officer who he said he was with that evening came in to say hello. That's when Busenbark admitted his story was made up, and he got a ride in a real police car to the county jail.
