(KSL News) A plane crash near the Parowan airport killed one man and injured a passenger.
The Iron County Sheriff's Office says the plane started to have mechanical problems shortly after takeoff. The pilot, William Phillips, tried to return to the airport, but the plane crashed about a mile north of it.

Phillips died. His wife, Janice, survived but suffered internal injuries and some broken bones.
