Junk food soon will be getting some competition in the Granite and Alpine school districts. Students instead could spoon up some yogurt for a snack.
Wasatch Junior High Principal Doug Bingham is waiting for the healthy vending machines to show up.
"I was trying to call the company this morning. So, I hope (it will arrive) within the next week," he said.
But will the students actually try slimming and trimming down?
"It's healthy. Sure," one student said. "I'd probably get a Snickers bar," another said.
And one girl said no way, "Because I don't really like yogurt."
Bingham says the schools will keep the machines with the chips and candy bars.
