SALT LAKE CITY — According to Cheesecake.com, “cheese cake” may have been created in Greece thousands of years ago. Legend says cheesecake was served at the first Olympic games. It wasn’t until the 18th century that the modern incarnation of cheesecake began to take form, as European immigrants brought their recipes to America.
Today, cheesecake is one of the most popular desserts in the U.S. There are several different variations of cheesecake in America, including New York style, Philadelphia style, Chicago style and country style.
