PARK CITY — Police received bomb threats at three locations Saturday night, though all three were deemed safe.
Park City Police Chief Wade Carpenter said police dispatchers received a call about 9 p.m., and threats were reported at the police department, the Tanger Outlets and at another part of town, near the department's mobile command center.
He said the threats were made through what sounded like a tape-recording device.
"We don't foresee there is an actual threat here, but we're going to treat it as it is," Carpenter said.
The outlet mall closes at 9 p.m. and officers evacuated an unknown number of shoppers still there at the time of the threat. Carpenter said he expected officers to be there until about 10:30 p.m. investigating the issue.
He said it was the second bomb threat the department had received in a week.
