BOUNTIFUL — A Bountiful man was arrested over the weekend and accused of raping a 15-year-old girl who worked for him.

Julio Cesar Becerril, 46, was arrested early Sunday for investigation of rape, object rape and forcible sodomy.

Detectives believe the teen, from Davis County, was picked up by Becerril on Saturday and driven to his house, said Bountiful Police Lt. Dave Edwards.

"She alleges he gave her alcohol and forced her into having sex," he said.

The girl was employed by Becerril, a Davis County Jail report states, and was raking leaves with Becerril and his son at a condominium complex. Police say Becerril sent the girl's mother a text message about 3:30 p.m. saying he was taking her to lunch and would drive the girl home afterward.

Instead, he allegedly took the girl to his house. Once there, he "asked the victim to smell his marijuana to see how fresh it was," according to the report.

After giving the girl alcohol, he sexually assaulted her, the report states.

In 2002, Becerril was convicted of drug distribution and sentenced to a month and a half in jail.
