SALT LAKE CITY — Formerly known as Provo Fashion Week, the new, rebranded, semi-annual Utah Fashion Week was held Saturday evening and showcased several local designers.
Fashion Week was founded in April 2014 as a way to promote local independent fashion designers and to bring them together with local photographers and style bloggers, according to Utah Fashion Week organizer Janay Robison.
"Our mission is to feature and support independent designers and Utah-based entrepreneurs and companies, in order to help the Utah fashion industry grow and thrive," Robison said. "We are believers in community, collaboration and shopping locally."
The Fall Gala was held at the Impact Hub and included a runway show, live music and a silent auction. The event highlighted several Utah designers including McKell Maddox, Janay Marie, Garth Peay of Perfectly Suited, Alexis Puglisi, Wanessa Ferreira, Mary Rino, Franklynn James, and Natalie Wynn.
