PROVO — The third bi-annual Provo Fashion Week was held Friday and Saturday and highlighted many up-and-coming local designers.

Provo Fashion Week was started in Spring 2014 as “a medium for local designers to showcase their work,” according to a Provo Fashion Week news release. The first runway event included 18 local independent fashion designers, more than 150 models and almost 800 attendees. The event has since grown and the second fashion week included 23 designers, more than 300 models and 1,450 guests, the news release said.

The Friday night show of the 2015 Spring Provo Fashion Week included a variety of clothing lines ranging from children’s clothing to women’s swimwear. The designers showcased in the Friday show included Bree Wilkins’ Bree Lena line, Aaron Puglisi’s Tessel Supply, Chris Bennett’s Hush & Salt, Garth Peay’s Perfectly Suited, Lauren Whittier’s ThreeTwoSevenSix, Aaron and Alexis Puglisi, Michelle Whitaker and Chylie Garner.

Provo Fashion Week was held at the Provo City Library at 550 N. University Avenue. The event will continue with two Saturday shows held at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
