(KSL News) A barking dog alerted a Cedar City family that their house was on fire.
The dog started barking, and a woman in the home saw that the wooden deck was on fire. It soon spread to other parts of the home, located in the 300 south block of Casa Loma St.
No one was hurt, but a family cat needed oxygen. It, too, is OK.
The family had a barbecue on the deck Sunday, and investigators believe wind whipped up the coals and started the fire.
