SOUNDS TOWN — There are celebrity impressionists, wookie impersonators, Sgt. Larvelle Jones from the “Police Academy” movies, and then there’s this guy.

The gentleman in this video begins by telling his mates he plays the saxophone “different to anyone else,” then we all wait for the other shoe drop. He then reveals with a mischievous grin that he doesn’t actually have a saxophone.

What the man actually “plays” is the last thing I would have ever expected, and it delighted me to no end.

He uses nothing but his own voice, and it sounds exactly like a tenor sax. Yes, you read that right. I’m sorry to spoil the surprise, but I really think you have to watch it to believe it anyway.

Meanwhile, I’ve been trying my hardest since I was a small girl in pigtails to figure out how to sound like a wookie and/or whistle loudly with the assistance of my fingers, and I can do neither to this day. I suppose that’s OK, since I need neither as day-to-day life skills, but that doesn’t make my disappointment acute.

But I digress. Enjoy the pure genius of this man’s slinky rendition of the “Pink Panther” theme with his saxy voice.
