KASHYYYK — If the Star Wars reboot has got you all excited, if you insist that Han shot first and if you detest Jar Jar Binks, I have just the video you need today.
OK, none of those things are prerequisites to enjoying this video, but an appreciation of ridiculous videos on the Internet and a general good feeling about Star Wars may help.
There’s not much to be said for the video beyond the fact the the guitar chord really does sound like Chewbacca calling out to Han while they sally forth through the stars in their search for a hive of scum and villainy in which to do business, but that’s only part of the fun. The second half of the fun is the pure delight the two grown men have with the sound they produce.
The video was first posted in 2008, but it’s gaining traction now. And it’s probably no coincidence that today is also George Lucas’s 71st birthday. No matter what you think of Lucas at this point in time, it’s never a bad idea to #ThankTheMaker, especially on his birthday.
