TOOELE — A police chase early Saturday morning ended with one man taken to jail.
Tooele County Sheriff's Lt. Travis Scharmann said at around 2 a.m., a sheriff's deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on state Route 36. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as 29-year-old Christopher Davis, fled onto I-80, he said.
UHP troopers assisted in spiking the tires of the fleeing vehicle, but Scharmann said Davis was able to continue driving for a time, allegedly at speeds around 110 miles per hour.
Davis, who was wanted by police, finally came to a stop near 7200 West. The vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen, Scharmann said.
Davis was arrested and booked into the Tooele County Jail. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
