(KSL News) The mother of a murdered teenager is suing the man acquitted of the crime.
Last August, Dan Petersen was found not guilty in connection with the 1986 death of Tiffany Hambleton.
Jurors concluded that while DNA evidence found in semen could prove the two had sexual contact, it could not prove he killed her.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports Hambleton's mother, Vicky English, is suing Petersen. She claims the fact he sexually abused her underaged daughter entitles her to damages.
