SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A California woman suspected of being the "Bombshell Bandit" who robbed banks in three states is pleading guilty to federal charges in Utah.
Prosecutors say Sandeep Kaur of Riverside earned the nickname by threatening to set off bombs during robberies, though some witnesses also said she wore glamorous disguise of a wig and large sunglasses.
Court documents show Kaur pleaded guilty Monday to four charges connected to robberies in Valencia, California; San Diego; Lake Havasu City, Arizona; and St. George, Utah.
She was arrested in August following a 130 mph-car chase in Nevada that ended after police spiked her tires twice.
She faces up to 20 years in prison when she is sentenced April 7.
Defense attorney Jay Winward says Kaur is happy to start moving forward.
