ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — A woman suspected of being the "Bombshell Bandit" who robbed banks in three states has made her initial appearance in federal court in St. George, Utah.
The Spectrum reports (http://bit.ly/1lJNjri ) that 24-year-old Sandeep Kaur of California made a brief court appearance Wednesday.
Her attorney, Jay Winward, says Kaur pleaded not guilty to the charge of bank robbery by force or violence. She is in the Washington County jail in Utah.
Kaur was arrested earlier this month in Nevada following a high-speed chase that started in Utah. FBI agents suspect Kaur earned the "Bombshell Bandit" nickname for threatening to blow herself up during heists.
Some witnesses also said she wore glamorous disguise of a wig and large sunglasses. She is suspected of robbing two banks in California and another in Arizona.
