SALT LAKE CITY β€” Police are looking for the man who robbed a Subway restaurant Monday morning using a crowbar.

Around 9:30 a.m., a man entered the sandwich shop near 1200 South and Redwood Road, armed with the weapon, Salt Lake City police Sgt. Robin Heiden said. The man demanded money from an employee and the employee refused.

Following the refusal, the man jumped over the counter, removing the cash drawer.

β€œIt was pretty aggressive of him, but nobody was hurt,” Heiden said.

The man fled on foot south on Redwood Road.

Police described the robber as a white male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with blue eyes and a mustache. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, white baseball cap and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Salt Lake Police Department at 801-799-3000. If individuals prefer to remain anonymous, they can text 274637 with the keyword TIPSLCPD and relevant information.
