Randall Jeppesen reporting Utah has just been ranked among the top 10 pro-business states.
It's Pollina Corporate Real Estate that ranks Utah among the top 10 in the company's Top 10 Pro-business States Report 2008. Orem-Provo Chamber of Commerce President Steve Densely says there's a lot of reasons why Utah deserves the honor.
"Our tax rate's very favorable to our businesses locating here," Densely said.
The report points out Utah's infrastructure and quality of life as benefits. Densely says having a lot of college students, many of which speak more than one language, helps as well. "Education, in my mind, is the absolute key to our future of economic development," he said.
But Densely says Utah leaders have to keep looking at other states and seeing what they're doing to lure businesses in order to make sure Utah stays near the top.
