SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- An anonymous donor is funding a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case of two University of Utah football players and another man stabbed after party last week.
The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office says the donor is a concerned citizen who wants to remain anonymous.
Defensive linemen Paul Kruger and Chris Newman both suffered multiple stab wounds in fight outside the party Jan. 19. Kruger under went surgery for his wounds. Newman had two four-inch stab wounds.
Kruger's brother, David, also suffered facial cuts that required stitches.
All three are recovering, but police have little information about the others involved in the fight. The injured three say they didn't know the men, but that a verbal argument escalated into a fight.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the sheriff's office.
