(KSL News) – Today, one of our KSL colleagues, Ed Yeates, received a unique honor.
Reps from the University of Utah's public health program were at KSL to announce the creation of the Ed Yeates Public Health Media Endowment Fund.
It gives resources for Public Health students and faculty to create presentations to inform the public of important health issues.
That's basically what Ed's been doing so well for KSL for a long time. When it comes to informing the public of health issues, health professionals know Ed will do a good job.
Dr. George White, Dir., U. of U. Public Health Program: "He will give them a chance to explain their sometimes and often difficult kind of topics in a way that the public can understand.”
It's a rare honor for a journalist to receive an academic endowment in the field of medicine. Congratulations to our good friend!
