SALT LAKE CITY -- A motorcyclist was killed when he crashed while racing a car Saturday night.
Lt. Don Hutson with Unified police says the rider and the driver of a Corvette were speeding down 3900 South when a car full of teenage girls turned in front of them at about 3300 East.
The motorcyclist slammed into the girls' car and died at the scene.
The girls suffered just minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Hutson says the driver of the Corvette kept going, but eventually turned around and went back to the scene. Police questioned him but did not take him into custody.
