SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A flight carrying Utah National Guard troops headed for New Orleans had to turn around yesterday.
The C-5 plane had unspecified mechanical problems and returned shortly after takeoff. Members and equipment from the 85th Civil Support Team were aboard.

The troops and equipment are scheduled to head to New Orleans today. Once there, they will help with communications support for Hurricane Katrina recovery and rebuilding efforts.
