THE OFFICE — Life can be tough, y’all.

It’s hard to show up to your responsibilities every day and give 100% because life is just too full of lumps and bumps, both big and small. The cat needs to go to the vet; your kid didn’t tell you about a science project until the night before it was due; you couldn’t put that book down; your neighbor had a loud party on a weeknight(!) — these things all affect your energy and your sleep.

It’s really a crying shame that the nap schedule from kindergarten doesn’t continue into the work environment.

If you’re lucky, you have your own office and can schedule in a power nap behind a closed door every day. But in the era of open offices, where the bulk of staff at companies are pretty much stacked on top of each other, you don’t get the luxury of an office nap.

Unfortunately, if you’re really struggling, you end up falling asleep at your desk where everyone can see you slumbering — or even hear you sawing logs.*

The woman in this video fell victim to just such a problem. She fell asleep sitting up with her head back and dozens of coworkers surrounding her. (Pro tip: You don’t get the tell-tale sleep marks on your face if you fall asleep this way.)

Of all the ways her coworkers could have pranked her awake, applauding her awake is probably the kindest. If you’ve ever been awoken in this manner, you know that an odd survival instinct kicks in and you start applauding along.

But the joke’s on her coworkers — this hard-working woman got her nap, and her coworkers got zero naps. She’s the real winner.
