Have You Seen This? Woman plays two recorders — with her nose

SCHOOL OF ROCK — Some of us are born with special gifts, some of us work very hard to develop skills, and a lucky few use both to become extraordinarily skilled.

Being a musician usually requires your right hand to do something different than your left. From banging the drums to playing the piano, it’s rare that your hands are doing the same thing at the same time. A lot of practice is involved to get it right. (And then they’re organists who are the helicopter flyers of musicians, using all their limbs at the same time. But we don’t have to jealously talk about them right now.)

When you get to the brass and woodwind instruments, you also start to have to take breathing into consideration. From short staccatos to seemingly endless wails, you will only succeed if you have great lung capacity and breath control.

With all that put together, we have to classify the special lady in this featured video as a skilled musician — at least she has the coordination in hands and breath to classify, even if you don’t approve of her specific musical choices.

As you now know, our new friend is playing two recorders with her nose. Her nose. You read that right: HER NOSE. But the fact is, it’s a nice melody with beautiful harmony and only a little clumsiness.

While we probably won’t see her play at Carnegie Hall, she would be a nice novelty act for the next Renaissance fair you may or may not be organizing. Or she could be the nice 77-second hilarious break you and your family needs today.
