THE FUTURE — Drones seem to be the wave of the future. UPS is currently testing drone delivery, we've heard promises of a taco-delivering drone, and a company hopes to replace taxis in Dubai with single person transport drones. While all of that is cool and tacos really make the world go round, I have to say this drone gets me the most excited.
The company HoverSurf released this video of its new Hoverbike Scorpion-3. It's exactly what it claims to be, a hoverbike. You just see the contraption sitting there and get all sorts of excited about it before you ever see it lift off the ground.
The promise of anything resembling a speeder bike from "Return of the Jedi" is the best thing since we found out Nike was actually creating those self-tying shoes. I still need to buy a pair of those.
Yesterday's Have You Seen This?
When I heard that HoverSurf plans on producing and selling the Hoverbike Scorpion-3, all that came to mind was, "Take my money."
I'm guessing they won't be cheap and my wife probably isn't super on board with me blowing a good portion of our savings on this thing, but come on, it's a hoverbike for crying out loud.
Check out the video, and I'll go look for a second job to feed my soon-to-be hoverbike addiction.
