EUGENE, Oregon — An Oregon man was living on the razor's edge recently, even though he didn't intend to.
Last week, just moments after Shane Reimche entered a store in Eugene, a 4-foot concrete saw blade broke loose from a nearby construction site and zipped across the store parking lot before embedding itself into the store's exterior wall, just inches away from the door that Reimche had just entered.
"I mean, obviously it wasn't my time, but probably the closest I've ever experienced it," Reimche said.
The horror movie-like scene was captured on the store's video surveillance camera and has since gone viral. The store owner said his entire business shook from the impact of the blade hitting the wall.
The construction company says a loose bolt may be to blame for the runaway blade.
