Producers released a new poster for the film last week and the reception was weak. Fans complained the poster was Photoshop-heavy and lacking creativity. But new pictures have been released along with two new TV spots that have all but washed away the bad taste of the recent poster out of their mouths.
The new pictures include a menacing look at the new villain Bane and another one gives us a look at Batman and Catwoman.
Another photo gives us one of our first looks of Marion Cotillard's character, Miranda Tate, according to imdb.com, with Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne. This photo is intriguing because Cotillard has been largely absent from the trailers and her character is very much a mystery.

A third photo gives us a look at Joseph Gordon- Levitt, John Blake, who is another new character to the film.
The new TV spots also give us a peek at some new footage of the final Nolan Batman.
The ads offer possible insights into the story and give us some of the dry humor we've come to expect from the films. One spot reveals more to the scene we've seen where Bruce Wayne dances with Salina Kyle, Catwoman. During the scene Wayne mentions she's a cat burglar. If Wayne has this information on her, what does she have on Wayne?
If the final theatrical trailer didn't get you as excited for the film as you'd hoped, these new spots should help.
"The Dark Knight Rises" open July 20.
