(KSL News) A ski patrolman checking snow conditions triggered an avalanche today.
It happened early this afternoon at Solitude Ski Resort.
We are told the ski patrolman was caught in the slide and was injured.
Other ski patrolmen and county search and rescue crews were able to get to him and get him out. His injuries are not life-threatening.
He was not able to say for certain that no one else had been caught in the avalanche, which prompted a search through the slide area.
So far, there has been no word on anyone else being found.
