SALT LAKE CITY -- Frances Monson, the wife of the LDS Church president Thomas S. Monson, broke her shoulder and hip during a fall in early November.
A statement from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' public affairs office Wednesday said doctors believe she is making good progress.
There has been concern for her health since her absence from the Church's Christmas Devotional broadcast this month.
The Church statement goes on to say: "President Monson wishes to express his gratitude for the prayers and well-wishes of those concerned for Sister Monson's welfare."
