SALT LAKE CITY --The State Office of Education has recognized seven Utah schools for reducing the achievement gap between groups of students.
Test scores show a consistent and significant gap between minority and white students. These schools across the state have reduced the gap by 50 percent in language and math.
The state also honored 59 high-achieving Title 1 schools, schools with a high rate of poverty.
