UTAH COUNTY -- The Utah County Health Department has run out of seasonal flu shots due to high demand.
The health department received 10,000 doses of the vaccine. Department spokesman Lance Madigan told the Daily Herald that it ran out on Tuesday.
Madigan credits the concern over swine flu for an increased interest in seasonal flu shots.
The department isn't sure when its next shipment of seasonal flu vaccine will arrive. It may be two or three weeks, or longer.
The Daily Herald reports those wanting the vaccine in the meantime can call Utah County pharmacies and physicians to find out if any still have the vaccine. According to the Herald, many private pharmacies throughout the county also were experiencing some supply issues.
