SALT LAKE CITY -- Bingham is the new No. 1 in 5A and Bountiful moves past Timpview to claim the No. 1 4A spot in this week's KSL high school football coaches' poll.

The Miners knocked off last week's No. 1 Alta in a thrilling come from behind victory. They trailed 28-14 at halftime but scored 24 unanswered points in the 2nd half to complete the comeback. Bingham and Alta combined for more than 900 total yards in a rivalry game that lived up to the hype.

Brighton slipped past Pleasant Grove to take over 3rd in 5A. The Bengals have outscored their opponents 79-0 in two games including a week one shocker over Davis. Syracuse makes it's debut in the poll at No. 5 after shutting out Northridge 14-0.

The state's 4A coaches give Bountiful the nod over Timpview this week. The Braves are 2-0 after outscoring their first two opponents 64-16. One of those victories was a 30-9 win at Lone Peak, a team that won at No. 3 Mountain Crest in week 2. Springville moves into the poll this week as Scott Mitchell continues to turn around the Red Devils program.

In 3A, defending champ Juan Diego is a unanimous No. 1 followed by 2008 runner up Hurricane. Bear River moves into a tie for the 5th spot after scoring 113 points in the first two games of the season.

In 1A and 2A, Rich and San Juan continue to hold on to the top spot in their respective classification.
