WEBER COUNTY -- Troopers have identified a man killed Friday when he ran his vehicle into the back of a semi truck on Interstate 84.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Caleb Nelson was headed west on I-84 near Riverdale when his SUV drifted off the side of the road, and slammed into a parked semi.
Nelson was killed instantly.
A one-year-old girl was also in the car. She suffered only minor head injuries, and was strapped into a car seat at the time of the crash.
The driver of the semi was not hurt. Troopers don't know what caused Nelson to drift onto the shoulder.
