ROY -- Roy police got some surprising help in solving a burglary case. It came from one of the suspects.

It's been weeks since someone broke into a pair of homes, stealing more than $16,000 in all kinds of items.

"From silverware to snowboards," said Roy police Detective Sgt. Shawn O'Malley.

O'Malley says earlier this week, a man approached police telling them he had information on the crime. That's when O'Malley says the man began to reveal information only someone involved would know.

"I did ask him if he was aware that he had implicated himself, and kinda looked at me with a little bit of a confused look," O'Malley said.

Police believe the man was angry with the other two because he had been kicked out of a house where all three were staying. Now all of them are in legal hot water.
