COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS -- A man convicted of having sex with a minor in California has been arrested in Utah on the same charge. Now, he's facing even more charges.
The online relationship between William Suh and his 13-year-old Cottonwood Heights victim may have been flirtatious, but investigators say their sexual relationship was anything but consensual.
"This guy not only does these types of acts, but he threatens the family and the victims with death or serious bodily injury," said Officer Beau Babka, spokesman for the Cottonwood Heights Police Department.
Cottonwood Heights police say Suh started talking to a 13-year-old girl on MySpace. A few weeks later, he traveled to Utah so they could meet in person.
While in the state, Suh stayed with the girl's sister. During that time, the teen alleges she and Suh had sexual contact several times.
Babka says Suh has served time for doing this before.
"This is the same MO, if you will, that he had in California in his case in California," Babka said.
Police are investigating to see if Suh has more victims in the four years since his release in California.
Suh is facing two counts of terroristic threats along with one count of sodomy and four counts of aggravated sex abuse of a child.
