SALT LAKE CITY -- A stabbing Thursday evening at the Gateway Inn on North Temple sent a man to the hospital.
Police were called to the motel after other people staying there heard a man screaming in one of the rooms.
"Witnesses kind of helped kick in the door, and this person fled the scene. And through witnesses and other people following them, we caught them a couple blocks away hiding in a shed," said Salt Lake City police Lt. Scott White.
The victim had a stab wound to the back of the head, which penetrated his skull. He's in critical condition.
Police arrested Nathaniel Brown and charged him with aggravated assault.
